Coaches Corner 2015 #2 (#10)

It was wonderful to have all eligible athletes in Fresno for a fantastic day of power soccer! Hunter scored the sole goal of the weekend in the hotly contested battle with the Rockets in which Zach Reynolds had another shut out half of play.

The Flames played a tough match against the Santa Barbara Rolling Rebels. The Rebels are a hard hitting So. Cal. team with most of their players having been together for 5 or more years and have siblings that play on the team affectionately known as the "Bash Brothers". They added a Premier League player to their roster making them a tough opponent. Good decisions by Matt, Josh and Joseph kept it close.

And what a great job everyone did against the Fresno Ghostriders! Tyler and Jess got into the fast paced action and reacted well to all the chaos created by the fleet and nimble Fresno team. Holding a team with that much talent and a couple of Strike Force chairs to only 5 goals was a major defensive accomplishment. And we couldn't have done it all without Coach Stephen who made the trek to help us all out!

The Davis Enterprise had an article about the Flames in the Sunday paper. Here's the link for those interested

Practice is Sunday April 12 at 1 pm at Harper Jr. High.

Although we did not exact revenge upon the Rockets we will have another shot at them at our
FIRST HOME TOURNAMENT on April 19.

We will also host the Bombers and Kryptonite Pride, so get pumped up for some powerful power soccer! Looking forward to seeing all of you at the next practice.

FLAME ON!
