Coaches Corner #8
Get ready to play some power soccer! The Flames will be at the Bascom Center in San Jose tomorrow for three matches. The first game is at 11:15 versus the BORP Bombers so please arrive at 10:15 and be sure to wear your game jersey and bring your chair player tag. We play Kryptonite Pride and the Rockets in the afternoon - be prepared for some fast paced, exciting play!
Remember the saying "They play - I coach - you cheer!" Be a fan and parent and leave the coaching to the coaches. You all have wonderful athletes out there - give them positive feedback and love - they are hard on themselves - try to mitigate that. The best thing you can do to prepare is eat well, hydrate and get a good nights sleep. The single most important thing to remember - we are PLAYING a GAME - HAVE FUN!
As always keep all comments positive. By keeping your comments positive about the referees, other athletes, teammates and coaching decisions you will be a great example to your athlete. As always please send me a text 530-902-5331 if you cannot attend at all or if you cannot attend any portion of the day. I have my line ups set for the games so the more advance notice that I get about player availability the better I can adjust. Thanks and Flame On!
